It has not been easy to be a Lakers fan for the last few years. Continuing their poor record this season, the team’s recent additions gave hope. Although the latest report on their main star’s injury report has caused great concern among fans as well as the Los Angeles Lakers?organization. LeBron James, who has not played a game since his greatest achievement so far, continues to sit out. ?

?In a recent tweet, senior NBA Insider?Chris Haynes weighed in on the injury status. Fans who expected an early return from the Lakers forward might have to wait much longer to hear some good news. Fans’ reactions to James’ recent injury report are going viral on Twitter.

LeBron James continues to suffer from lingering injury

James was expected to return to the team along with their new star D’Angelo Russell, who made his debut today against the Golden State Warriors. However, the 6’9″ forward continues to sit out due to soreness in his left ankle. Haynes said,?“I was told that LeBron was struggling from a foot injury he has”.?

He added,?“It’s something that’s been nagging him for a few weeks already. It gets to the point where it just gets unbearable, and he plays through it. People that talked to me said he was really struggling with that foot”. Haynes finished it off with,?“Sometimes it flares up, different sides of his foot depending on the way he plants certain times. That might be something lingers all season long, but it reached a dire point”.

Most fans felt that without James, the Lakers’ season could already be over. The Lakers are currently the 13th seed in the Western Conference with a 25-31 record.

Can the rest of the Lakers roster manage without James?

That is a huge question put in front of the Lakers organization. Considering their team chemistry and record this season, a comeback seems questionable. Though their other star player Anthony Davis is back in the team, but fans do not seem to have a lot of trust in him due to his injury prone history.
