At this point, Kanye West and his opinions could arguably be a genre by itself. Ever since his downfall, the disgraced rapper and business mogul has not dialed back his rants on social media. Recently, he made comments on notable personalities including LeBron James, Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Shaquille O’Neal.

In the new episode of ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq’ with Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams, the Big Aristotle explained his thoughts. Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, had openly criticized Shaq’s partnership with billionaire Jaimie Salter.

Shaquille O’Neal told the panel that he came across the word, “narcissist”. When he looked up the meaning, he had a moment of self-awareness. Shaq said that he was a narcissist. It seemed like Shaq got the gravitas of the popular sentence: it takes one to know one.

The Big Diesel said, “This is why things are going crazy for him, cause look how he acts”. Shaq said that he used to act just like Kanye West. The four-time NBA champion said it was this understanding that has allowed him to label Ye as a narcissist. Shaq said he was humbled now and was no longer engaging in narcissism.

Shaq believed that once a person was arrogant, they risk losing everything. He added that the blame game starts post that actuality. Shaquille O’Neal referred to Kanye West blaming Jay-Z and Beyonce, who have been a vital part of his professional journey. West claimed that the likes of LeBron James, Jay-Z, and Beyonce are all being “controlled”. “But they can’t control me”, added West. It remains unclear as to who “they” exactly is, but many believe it to mean the mainstream media.

The Los Angeles Lakers legend also couldn’t connect why Ye would blame him, since they didn’t even have a bond to start with. He added that he understands West’s character more.

Kanye West made an extremely controversial statement recently that had a domino effect. It was largely felt in his businesses. Many industry giants including, Adidas, Balenciaga, JP Morgan, and others have since severed ties with him.
