There is a never-ending debate over who the fashion icon in the NBA is. It was Chicago Bulls legend Dennis Rodman that first established that NBA players too, can make a fashion statement. Over the years, pregame outfits have become a trend to follow and so far Russell Westbrook, LaMelo Ball, and Kyle Kuzma are a few of the players who consistently make headlines for their clothing choices.
But this time, Kuzma took it quite far. The unapologetic outfit that he wore before the Washington Wizards game against the Charlotte Hornets has not only taken the internet by storm, but NBA players haven’t been able to hold themselves back either, from reacting.

Kyle Kuzma dons a unique pre-game outfit
The Washington Wizards have had a surprisingly great start to the 2021-22 NBA campaign. They’ve been roaming amongst the top three teams in the Eastern Conference with an 11-5 record. And what’s come to everyone’s notice is that adding Kuzma to their roster has been a game-changer for them.
But whether or not he shows consistency in his performance, the fashionista surely always catches everyone’s attention with his bold looks when he walks into a room. And he did just that before meeting with the Hornets for their matchup. Out of all the crazy outfits that Kuz has worn, this definitely takes the cake.
The 6-foot-10 guard’s wingspan might be gigantic, but he surely doesn’t need an unbelievable oversized pink sweater that comers the entirety of his hands and hangs down, the sleeves nearly touching the floor. But like everyone says, all publicity is good publicity. And whatever other NBA players had to say, only Kuzma could pull this off. However, LeBron James‘ reaction was probably the most hilarious one.

Kuz stepping it up with the Wizards
The only reason Kuzma was making headlines last season was because of his terrible performances for the Los Angeles Lakers. Fans’ criticism about him overshadowed everything else that he was going. The only thing they were concerned about was shipping him off for someone better.
Now, the 26-year-old is averaging 13.6 points and 9.2 rebounds. Finding his footing in a team without playing under anyone’s wing has surely worked wonders for him. But as we all know, his skills aren’t as consistent as his fashion. Will he continue to amaze us on the hardwood floor, as he does on the pre-game hallway ramp?
