Brett Usher recently took to Twitter to share some baffling facts about His Airness. The tweet included a picture of a young Michael Jordan. It summed up Jordan’s accomplishments in his rookie year. Jordan had an impressive debut with the Chicago Bulls in 1984?85. He established a number of records, including the rookie records for scoring 40 or more points seven times and 30 or more points 33 times. He was voted an All-Star starter and Rookie of the Year while guiding his team to their first playoff appearance in four years.

In the history of the NBA, Jordan was the only player to average at least 28.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 2.4 steals a game over an entire season. His record as a rookie is undoubtedly quite impressive. Here is what Usher tweeted:

The tweet suggests that Brett Usher considers Michael Jordan to be in the mix for the greatest rookie of all time. Wilt Chamberlain, Oscar Robertson, and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Wes Unseld, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and Tim Duncan are other notable players he considers to be in the list of the greatest rookies of all time.
