The NBA is in shambles right now, after a blockbuster trade saw?Kyrie Irving join the?Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs were perhaps the least expected spot for Irving, although that is exactly where the 6’2″ guard has landed. Irving was traded to the Mavs for Spencer Dinwiddie and Dorian Finney Smith. Fans who were rooting for a trade between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets will now have to see Irving in a Dallas jersey.?

The?Lakers?reportedly even sent an offer to the Nets for the veteran guard. Although, the Nets expected something much higher. A recent tweet has since revealed what the Nets wanted from the Lakers, which has caught the attention of NBA buffs online.?

The Nets wanted more than Russell Westbrook for Kyrie Irving

The Lakers previously offered Russell Westbrook along with their 2027 and 2029 first-round picks, which was apparently not enough for the Nets. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, in addition to the above offer, the Nets wanted Lakers rookies Austin Reaves and Max Christie for Irving.

Fans were seemingly stunned to know the offer made by the Brooklyn Nets. They continued to troll the Nets for making such a huge demand for one player.

Though the team had a great chance at the 2016 NBA champion, the Nets owner Joe Tsai reportedly had other plans. Meanwhile, many fans believe that Luka Doncic and Irving could be one of the best backcourt duos in the league, considering their offensive dominance.?
