Considering the heated matchups between the two teams previously, the first round between the Lakers and Grizzlies will not disappoint the fans.?

LeBron James, after clinching the 7th seed, talked about the Grizzlies. The scoring leader credited the Grizzlies as he mentioned, “Really good team. Very well coached. Very well balanced“. Further, James took time to praise Jaren Jackson Jr., Ja Morant, Tyus Jones, and Desmond Bane of the Grizzlies. However, James’s credit for Dillon Brooks turned out to be a different narrative for the fans.?

While talking about the 27-year-old guard, James mentioned, “Dillon Brooks, the opportunity to go out there and you know you can’t disrespect him cause he makes shots”. Though James gave Brooks his flowers, fans believe the Lakers forward struggled to compliment him the way he praised the rest of the team.?

Brooks has been one of the most controversial players this season. Talking about a possible matchup with the Lakers earlier, Brooks mentioned, “I wouldn’t mind playing LeBron in a 7-game series. The legacy is there. First time back in the playoffs, knock him out right away”. The 27-year-old was heavily mocked for his comments.
