The ongoing NBA offseason is churning out entertainment like no other. While the Denver Nuggets celebrate their first championship win, there are other cogs at work. Primarily, the recent suspension imposed by Adam Silver and the NBA on Grizzlies’ centerpiece, Ja Morant. He will be out for the first 25 games of the next season as per the latest verdict.
Amidst all these controversies, Kendrick Perkins adds another blow. He’s known to speak his mind rather strangely. In the past, too, he has questioned the legitimacy of the MVP and has spoken ill about the Nuggets. Adding to his list of controversial takes, Perkins now suggests that the Memphis Grizzlies aren’t the right team for someone like Morant.

The so-called beef between the Nuggets and LeBron is circumstantial. When the LA Lakers were kicked out of the title race, LeBron James did something which was not appreciated by hoop fans.
The 4x NBA champion hinted toward his retirement after exiting the season, which was subsequently followed by LeBron James and Kyrie Irving selfishly disrupting NBA Finals with a seemingly preposterous Mavericks team-up rumor. The allegation surrounds Nuggets not getting enough praise in the media, for what was an iconic run in the postseason. Earlier, too, the team stood at the brink of making history being overshadowed by James’s retirement rumors. So, LeBron doesn’t really sit well as far as the Nuggets are concerned.
In this scenario, Michael Malone?received the tag “Lakers Daddy” from the team’s broadcaster.
And as a cherry on the cake, Kendrick Perkins, who’s known to have controversial takes, is now on the wrong side for Nuggets too. Going as far as declaring bias in the MVP selection process in favor of Nikola Jokic, he has made his opinion on the Nuggets camp very clear. In fact, on national TV, he said that Jokic is favorable for the MVP title because of his skin color. Although he received criticism from his own panel for the comments, Perkins remains unfazed by it. Continuing with his series of strange takes, the 2008 NBA champion added yet another one in the recent Grizzlies star controversy.
