Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors have started the 2022-23 season on mediocre terms. With a 3-3 record, the Golden State Warriors have a long way to go before solidifying their place in their Conference. Curry, with a stellar last season has stepped up to the plate this season as well, except for a few occasions. The Golden State Warriors lost to the Charlotte Hornets in OT for their third defeat of the season.

Stephen Curry made a mistake in the game, which contributed to their defeat against the Hornets. His teammate Draymond Green didn’t pay much heed to the situation and wanted to move on.

Stephen Curry has been performing well for his team in the 2022-23 season. The team’s mediocre start to the season has made the fans impatient as they are not used to having three losses this early in the season. 

In the recent loss for the Golden State Warriors against the Charlotte Hornets, Curry made a mistake which he accepted post game. The four-time NBA Champion held the ball in the final seconds of the match with the scores tied. Curry attempted his final three-pointer which didn’t go in, leading to the 113-120 loss in OT.

The two-time NBA MVP said,I understood how Dennis was guarding me the whole game and he’s probably not going to just let me size up a three.” The Warriors superstar further added, “There’s so much room to go by — maybe draw a crowd and kick it or get all the way to the basket. It’s a pretty simple play in that respect, knowing how he was pressuring the ball.

The four-time NBA Champion took responsibility for what happened at the end of the game. His teammate Draymond Green also spoke on the subject and defended Curry. He said, Six games in, they’re (the public) going to over-react.” Green further went on to explain that they need to develop good habits looking at the outcome and learn from their mistakes. Otherwise, it won’t take long for the crowd to be frustrated with their performance.

Warriors in the 2022-23 season

The Warriors have had a hard-fought six games this season. They came out with three wins and three losses. A couple of them have been very close matches with a few mistakes from either sides tipping the scale.

Stephen Curry has not disappointed his fans, averaging 30.8 PPG, 6.8 RPG, and 6.0 APG for the 2022-23 season. Hopefully, the Dubs will learn from recent mistakes and move forward.
