NBA legends Charles Barkley and Ernie Johnson have spent a lot of years working together on Inside the NBA. Their friendship and camaraderie are a fan favorite. Four years ago they started a podcast called The Steam Room. The duo records episodes that cover topics around and beyond basketball while interacting with fans from all over the world. Barkley would never hesitate to speak his and he has shown that once again with an interesting prediction.

In the latest episode of the Steam Room podcast, Barkley made a bold claim about NBA coaches. With recent developments, half of the prediction has already come true.?

Charles Barkley makes a bold prediction?

During the sit-down, Charles Barkley first talked about the Milwaukee Bucks winning the title and Giannis Antetokounmpo winning the MVP award even though it has been just six games into the start of the new season. Ernie Johnson was quick to remind him that the season has just started so it is too early to say. However, Barkley voiced his thoughts confidently and even added more predictions.?

He added, ?Hey let me tell you something. There are some coaches out there, they?re dead men walking.??

With extreme certainty, Barkley claimed that two NBA coaches would be fired before Thanksgiving. Johnson suggested it is too early to make these predictions.

Fast forward a day and Barkley’s prediction is already halfway there. The Brooklyn Nets recently announced that they had parted ways with head coach Steve Nash. The news broke 24 hours after the podcast was recorded. This caused a hue and cry in the NBA community. Heavy criticism of the Nets followed.?

Charles Barkley had something to say as well. For him, Steve Nash was simply a scapegoat. He placed the blame on the players for this chaos. So in hindsight, a part of Barkley?s prediction was true.?

As for the Bucks, they have an overall field goal percentage of 45.4 two weeks into the season. Their star player and two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has an average of 33.6 points per game this season. With these numbers and seven straight victories to their account, the Bucks and Giannis look unstoppable.??
