The major credit for the brand’s recognition in the WNBA goes to Jasmine Jordan, the daughter of Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan. The $5 billion brand recently won the Brand of the Year award at the 2022 FN Achievement Awards in New York City. In a recent interview, Jasmine Jordan revealed a stern message that her father conveyed to get more women involved with the world-renowned brand.

Jasmine Jordan made an appearance at the FN awards along with brand ambassador Aerial Powers and other WNBA athletes representing the Jordan Brand. The younger Jordan has been working as the basketball field rep for women’s sports marketing for a while.

During an interview with Footwear News, Michael Jordan‘s daughter Jasmine talked about the brand’s success with women in 2022. She also shared a piece of invaluable advice her father gave her to get more women involved in the Jordan brand. Jasmine Jordan revealed that her father has always supported women customers and athletes.

She shared that Michael Jordan clarified that women athletes were not the sole target. The six-time NBA champ wanted more women customers and to provide a voice to the brand’s female fanbase. Moreover, the Jordan brand representative revealed a stern message that her father gave her. As per Jasmine Jordan, “They need to feel like they’re heard and seen and we’re finally getting to that point with our roster. He’s definitely been supportive and understanding.”

She suggested that her father Michael Jordan was quite interested in increasing the brand’s reach to women. He also wanted women to see the Jordan Brand as a means to be noticed. Moreover, Jasmine Jordan shared that her father had been supportive of her efforts every step of the way.
