During a statement win against the New Orleans Pelicans, the Golden State Warriors did more than just register their 40th win of the season. They did it in impeccable style, with an 11-point gap at the final whistle. Curry dropped 39 points, while teammate and friend Klay Thompson supported him with 17 points on the scoreboard.
However, while the crew at NBA Today was analyzing the game, the 2016 NBA Champion, Richard Jefferson was interested in something else. As Klay Thompson hit an important three-pointer to essentially seal the game for the Dubs, the Pelicans bench was seen with their heads in their hands as they understood they were facing their 38th loss of the season.
Analyzing the clip, Jefferson was left in splits as he observed Zion Willamson and co. in utter disappointment after Klay Thompson’s shot. Jefferson kept laughing and screaming in the clip at NBA Today’s studio.
“They had to look away..the fans is like ‘Yeah bro I feel you bro’. My favorite thing, if I ever had a highlight ever… you want to see the other bench’s reaction.” said Jefferson.
Although many fans like Jefferson enjoyed the Pelicans’ bench’s reaction, the Pelicans did have a great run of games just before this one, winning 5 in a row and having the hottest streak in the NBA. However overall, this has been a tough season for their Pelicans without key players. A problematic situation that seems to have no solution this season.
