“These Are Beautiful”: Days After Honoring Daughter Gigi, Kobe Bryant’s Wife Vanessa Surprises 3x NBA Sixth Man of The Year With Wholesome Gesture

Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant’s family has continued to win fans’ hearts with their constant charity work. Moreover, the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation has picked up its welfare activity with the efforts of Vanessa Bryant ever since the tragic passing of her husband and daughter Gigi in a helicopter crash. Apart from uplifting the youth through various programs, the foundation recently surprised a former NBA star with a memorable present, days after honoring Gigi. Following the surprise, he took to his social media to thank the Bryant family.

The family foundation celebrated the 17th birth anniversary of Gigi in the first week of May and organized a Skills Academy Basketball camp for the LA youths. Notably, Gigi and Vanessa shared their birthdays in the same week this year. Incidentally, the Matriarch received showering love and wishes from celebrities and fans across the globe. 

Kobe Bryant’s family foundation surprises former NBA star

The Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation surprised Jamal Crawford with the latest edition of Nike Kobe 4 Protro ‘Mambacita’ sneakers on Friday. Crawford took to his Instagram and shared the unboxing video with a touching caption. The caption read, “These are beautiful. Honored to have some. They will go next to the Kobe’s he signed for me in his last year..We rep GiGi today and everyday. #PlayGigisWay.” 

Moreover, the 3x NBA Sixth Man of the Year showcased special Bryant memorabilia in the clip. He displayed the sneakers signed by the Black Mamba in his last year in the background and promised to place the new sneakers next to them. Following Crawford’s Instagram post, Vanessa shared the video on her story and thanked the former NBA star.

Notably, Vanessa and Nike had a bit of a tussle in continuing the Kobe line of shoes last year, however, she managed to keep her husband Kobe Bryant‘s legacy alive. Nike and Vanessa promised to contribute 100% of the annual net proceeds of Gigi’s products to charity. 

Vanessa honors Gigi on her 17th birth anniversary

The family foundation organized a basketball skills camp for young boys and girls of Los Angeles at the University of South California to honor Gigi during her birthday week. Vanessa took to her social media and shared multiple pictures from the workshop. Apart from training the basketball abilities of LA youths, the Mamba and Mambacita Foundation also partnered up with an NGO to provide shelter to homeless youth.
