During a video released by Wade on his YouTube channel, Union talked about everything that they had gone through for their baby. The documentary followed her journey from finding a surrogate to delivering her baby.

“It just feels like a lot of shame, just years of shame and humiliation and betrayal of your body and so many emotions. Actually, not a problem getting pregnant, it was holding the baby. And we’ve discovered finally that what I have is called adenomyosis which is endometriosis of the muscle, there’s a shot that you can take but there’s only a 30% chance,” Union explained in the video.

The issues surrounding this subject and the struggles many women face have been discussed by Union during many interviews. The dream of having a child dates back to when she was in her 20s, as she revealed in an interview.

From that time on, she would make a name list for her child. The date November 7, 2018, marks the beginning of Kaavia. After 38 hours of labor and an emergency c-section, it was a long and difficult procedure.
