Many basketball supporters were left awestruck after Davis’s performance last night. Former NBA MVP Charles Barkley couldn’t help but laud Davis on his performance.
On getting asked what the Warriors could have done to limit the damage by Davis he replied, “There’s nothing they can do about it. Looney’s is too slow on foot. Draymond’s too little. It’s gonna come down to can Golden State make enough threes to offset it. Looney is a good player,?but he’s got no foot speed trying to guard AD. And Draymond’s too little. He’s going to get it if he’s motivated. He’s gonna get this every game if he’s motivated. He ain’t gonna shrink. Looney’s not gonna get faster.”
According to Barkley, there’s not much that the Golden State can do to stop Anthony Davis. The Warriors do not have the personnel to defend against the threat posed by Davis. According to the host of NBA on TNT Kevin Looney is not fast enough to stop AD from reaching the basket and he has doubts about Draymond Green’s physical stature. A few weeks ago, Charles Barkley was in the news for doubting Anthony Davis’s ability to come up big against the Warriors.

Barkley doubted AD’s ability to dominate
Before the series against the Golden State began Charles Barkley was not sold on Anthony Davis to be consistent for the course of four games to win the series. He said, “I can’t trust that dude. Can Anthony Davis dominate for four games? I think he has a huge advantage. I do. I don’t think they (Golden State Warriors) have anybody that can guard him. But he’s so inconsistent.”
Anthony Davis made Charles eat his words after his performance in game 1. It’ll be interesting to see how Davis fares against the Warriors in the rest of the series.
