With the 2023 NBA All-Star weekend less than a month away, NBA fans around the league are casting millions of votes for their favorite superstars. As we speak, the star-studded rosters from both conferences are getting populated with the biggest names in the league. Moreover, the NBA recently came out with its third fan voting returns, resulting in a social media storm debating the players’ rankings on the list. However, surprisingly, the polling results were missing some notable names.?
But Bam Adebayo from the Miami Heat stands out among the many who failed to make it to their conference’s rosters. Consequently, the veteran center, enraged, called out the voting results.?

Bam Adebayo slams All-Star voting results
The Miami Heat are in an interesting spot midway through the season. Currently, they rank as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with an above .500 record of 27-22. Moreover, not long ago, Jimmy Butler and Adebayo willed the Heat to the NBA finals against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers as underdogs.?
Likewise, both are having an equally impressive season, but their efforts have rather gone unnoticed among fans. The latest fan polling results for the 2023 All-Star game proved the notion. Jimmy Butler pulled in 954k votes to bag the 5th spot on the Eastern Conference front court. However, despite averaging 21.6 points, 10.2 rebounds, and three assists, Bam Adebayo is nowhere to be found among the top vote-getters.?
Consequently, the 1x All-Star expressed frustration with the results and slaming the fan voting process. While speaking to Miami Herald, Adebayo said,?“I’ll leave fan voting to fan voting,There are guys that shouldn’t even be on that list. But it’s fan voting. That’s what it is and you got to live with that. I mean, right now I’m in a position where it’s based off the coaches in the East.”?
The 3x All-defensive star then campaigned for the coaches’ votes, hoping to find justice there. He said,?“So for me, it’s just that fan voting is fan voting. I’ll let that be. But when it comes to coaches voting, that’s when I feel like I deserve to be in it.”
Top vote-getters for the 2023 All-Star game
Though Adebayo has yet to garner the required votes to make the cut, other big names have recorded historic numbers. In the Eastern Conference, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant top the list with nearly 6 million votes, followed by the likes of Jayson Tatum, Joel Embiid, Kyrie Irving, Donovan Mitchell, and more.
