When Russell Westbrook was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers, fans expected so much from the nine-time NBA All-Star, but things haven’t gone as expected. The Lakers haven’t had a great season at all. They currently sit ninth in the Western Conference.
However, they have looked like a promising team in the past few matches. LeBron James has led the team from the front and Westbrook is also showing why he was signed in the first place. After being subject to a lot of criticism for his performances, ‘Brodie’ is beginning to show his old self.
But it is not just Russ who the fans have gone after. Miami Heat star man, Jimmy Butler, has been playing below expectations this season. The fans are coming in droves on social media, commenting on his performances.

Particularly on NBA Twitter, Heat star got roasted for horrible performances. He has even been compared to what happened with Westbrook. At one point, Butler was considered to be one of the best players the Miami Heat has. But this season, it’s not going well for him.
Watching his performance in recent months, particularly his scores, it seems like he is going downhill. This season, he hasn’t shot well from beyond the arc.
He is averaging merely 16 percent from the 3-point range in 2022. Overall, he stands at the 19% mark from behind the 3-point line when taking the entire season into account.
In terms of performance, Jimmy Butler is compared to Russell Westbrook
In the same way that Westbrook suffered a lot of torment regarding his ball-handling and shooting, Butler is getting trolled as well. Although he is known for his incredible skills on the court and covering to the rim, drawing fouls, and draining free throws, he stands at an 88% free throw percentage. Other players have become very familiar with his moves and, as a result, are able to guard him better.
Many shared their thoughts on Twitter and even trolled Butler for his recent performance with the team. Others even added Westbrook to their comments with the following: “The Real Russell Westbrook”.
Jimmy Butler is shooting 9.7% from three since February.
