Considering he has now been in the league for close to 20 years, his longevity makes him one of the greatest to ever play the sport. And fellow legend Magic Johnson also seemed to believe the same thing.

In 2003, a young player from Ohio made his debut in the league, for the Cleveland Cavaliers. In his very first outing, LeBron amassed almost 21 points on average. As the seasons went on, this prospect only got better and better. His best season came in 2005-06, when he managed to accumulate 31.4 points on an average in the regular season. After leaving Cleveland for Miami, he returned to his former club in 2014.

All along the way, James has been an irreplaceable asset and a vital cog in his teams. Magic Johnson makes bold LeBron claim over Michael Jordan

Johnson is a former Laker and a 12-time All-star himself. He thus knows what it takes to be at the topmost level in the league. The 62-year-old has witnessed many greats of the game in action, including the likes of Bulls legend Michael Jordan. However, in a recent interview, Magic Johnson referred to LeBron as the ‘only guy’ who is capable to achieve something.

“I wanna congratulate you for what you do for kids,” said Johnson to LeBron. “Not only here in Miami but also in Akron [as an inspiration]. Now LeBron, and I’m serious too, I’ve seen everybody play. You are the only guy I think that can become the greatest that has ever played this game.”
