Following a disappointing loss against the Denver Nuggets, the Los Angeles Clippers went against the Houston Rockets on January 15 at the Crypto.com Arena. After missing a series of games due to suffering from several injuries, NBA star Kawhi Leonard seems to be back on track again, scoring 30 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. However, it seems like the five-time All-Star might have to put up the same type of performance in more than one good game to win fan’s hearts.

Kawhi Leonard had missed the entire 2022 season due to a torn ACL and this season seems to be no different. The Clippers player only played two games at the start of the 2023 season before he had to be sidelined due to a knee injury. After missing a total of 12 games, Leonard returned to the court to face the Detroit Pistons and fans seemingly thought he would stick around for a while. However, as per reports by CBS, the 31-year-old forward only played for three games before he had to take more time-off from the court due to a sprained ankle. Leonard missed six more games before returning to the court again for the game against the Charlotte Hornets on December 5.
NBA Twitter feigns indifference towards Kawhi Leonard

The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Rockets by 121-100 bringing their tally up to 23-22 and placing them sixth in the Western Conference rankings. On the other hand, the Rockets lost their 10th consecutive game maintaining their position in the bottom of the Western Conference

Given that the Rockets are currently one of the weakest teams in the league, Leonard’s performance against them failed to attract the type of attention he had probably hoped.

Despite the Clippers’ win over the Rockets, NBA Twitter couldn’t help but troll the two-time NBA champion. Evidently, the significant reason for the fan’s reaction towards ‘The Klaw’ is due to his history of missing a majority of games due to injuries.
