However, fans might get surprised knowing that the same 23-year-old prodigy could be making his debut in the league soon, as NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal?recently promoted the young sensation.

Shaq is popular among the masses for his analysis of current ongoing topics around the NBA world. However, recently, fans could see another version of the Big Diesel where he was seen promoting Mac McClung, a young prodigy who signed for multiple notable NBA teams like the Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls among others, for a short stint.

The second episode of the NBA G League docu-series, ‘The Break’?dropped yesterday and young sensation, Mac McClung was the subject of the episode. The four-time NBA champion narrated the 11-minute, 29-second docuseries.

The Big Diesel also shared the trailer of the second episode on his Instagram handle. He shared a clip of his narration about the 2022 NBA G League Rookie of the Year.

“For so many hoopers the dream is simple to play in the NBA. But for last year’s G League Rookie of the Year, it’s not just about making it to the league. It’s about staying in the league. That’s Mac McClung, the high-flying kid from Gate City, Virginia who shut down the town every time he touched the court in high school. The internet sensation who caught LeBron’s attention…”

Moreover, Shaq added,?“But after getting a taste of the NBA, Mac didn’t make it into the opening day roster. He will start the season back in the G, eager to prove himself again. His break could be right around the corner.”

McClung currently plays for the Delaware Blue Coats in the G League. The 23-year-old currently averages 17.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 5.9 assists in a total of 18 games for the Blue Coats. For now, until he makes his debut in the league, fans can catch him against the Long Island Nets on Dec 30.
