NBA legend Dennis Rodman was a crucial part of the iconic Bad Boys Detroit Pistons. The Worm completely incorporated the team’s defensive philosophies and became the best defender in the league. His physicality caused havoc to his opponents and helped the team in a major way. With him on the side, the Pistons won back-to-back titles in 1989 and 1990. And their usual victims in the Eastern Conference were Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. Rodman recently opened up about his physical play which hurt a Bulls star.

It was always high-octane whenever the Bulls and the Pistons locked horns. Given the physical style of defense of the Pistons, things went up several notches during the playoffs as no easy shots were allowed. During one such incident, Dennis Rodman fouled rival star Scottie Pippen which left him getting “6 stitches”. It was during the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals when the Bulls finally had their revenge by sweeping the Bad Boys.

Rodman recently made an appearance on Vlad TV where he shared some interesting information. Notably, he gave his honest take on how Hall of Famer Larry Bird would fare in the current era. In another instance, the host asked him about the hard foul on Pippen. The five-time NBA champion admitted it was a poor move from him without any hesitation.

Rodman said, “No, that was a bad move. I think that there was just more frustration than anything I think I wasn’t trying to put him out the game. It was more like, just I can’t use the image of the Bad Boys that made me do that. I can’t use that. It was just a moment.”
