Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson can be considered two peas in the same pod. Having played beside each other for the entirety of their careers, The Splash Brothers have obviously developed a bond deeper than friendship. During this past NBA season, fans were quick to label Klay Thompson as being washed. This led Stephen Curry to come to his aid and even shed light on the competitive spirit among themselves during team practices. But during their latest interview, Klay decided to subtly fire a few shots at Steph regarding the new regime change in the front office.

The Golden State Warriors sharpshooters recently sat down with Anthony Slater of The Athletic. The two went on to talk about the recent trade that brought Chris Paul to the team and also shed light on parting ways with Jordan Poole.?

Both Curry and Thompson had extensive answers about the big move made by the Golden State Warriors front office. The two also went on to talk about Mike Dunleavy Jr. taking over as the new general manager of the team, replacing the beloved Bob Myers.

While talking about Dunleavy and his relationship with him, Thompson hilariously asked Steph, ?Steph, I?m not sure, you?re old. Did you play with him? Is that your era, bro??

Curry could not help but give a humble response saying, ?The days were bad my rookie year but they weren?t that bad, back when he was here,” replied Steph, as per The Athletic.?The former Duke star was drafted third overall by the Warriors in 2002 and played for the franchise for five years. The 42-year-old rejoined the Warriors as a pro scout in 2017 and slowly rose through the ranks, culminating with him becoming the GM of the franchise.

Klay Thompson did not reveal all the details

Klay Thompson decided to take a shot at his teammate Stephen Curry?s age even though the two only have an age gap of two years. Two years before Stephen Curry was drafted, Mike Dunleavy Jr. was traded away to the Indiana Pacers. So, Curry actually missed out on playing with his new GM, but he had a lot of battles against him.

And even though Thompson did not admit it during his interview, he too played against Dunleavy as he retired from the league after the 2016-17 NBA season.
