NBA icon and Hall of Famer Michael Jordan has millions of fans across the world and LeBron James is one of them. The Lakers star has previously expressed on multiple occasions that MJ has been his favorite player growing up. Interestingly, James got to meet his idol for the first time when he was in high school. However, a resurfaced clip recently revealed the game where MJ showed James who he really was.

Jordan had an insatiable hunger for winning. The Chicago Bulls legend didn’t bother who was in front of him and was only focused on winning the game. Therefore, even when the 14x All-Star was out of his prime, he showed no mercy and humbled young James in a pickup game.

The Jordan Rules?page on Twitter recently shared a snippet of one of the past episodes of the?Uninterrupted podcast. James appeared on that episode and narrated his experience of playing against His Airness?at the tender age of 16. The Los Angeles Lakers forward revealed that he didn’t get a chance to play for the first hour and was only able to step on the hardwood after the veterans got tired.

Subsequently, he added, “You know, for me to be on the court, sophomore in high school, with my favorite player of all time and it was like, this can’t be real man. If you pinch me, I was like, please, I hope I don’t wake up.”

MJ and Antoine Walker were the two captains of the team that featured players like Kenny Smith, Ron Artest, Paul Pierce, Jerry Stackhouse, and Jamal Crawford.

In one instance, Maverick Carter, who was there on the podcast, shared another typical Michael Jordan story. He said, “Mike hit a game-winner in the game, just like Bron said with the same? follow through and was like, ‘That’s why they pay me $33 million to do this.’ I’ll never forget that.”

James revealed he won a pickup game playing beside Jordan

Following the revelation by Carter, James said he used to go to MJ’s Santa Barbara camp when he was a rookie. He added, “I went to MJ’s camp and we used to play around 9’0 clock pm. The camp would end and he would let the kids watch the first game around 8:30 pm.”?

James subsequently said he and others used to stay with the college kids, invited by MJ after the kids left the camp. He used to play with the NBA legend for over an hour. The four-time champion said, “And so I was on the team with MJ and we didn’t lose a game.”
