Nothing can hold back Dennis Rodman from speaking his mind. Being vocal is mostly a positive thing. However, there have been several situations where Rodman’s talkative nature has gotten him into trouble. For instance, his position in the Dallas Mavericks back in 2000. Dennis Rodman only remained with the Mavs for about 29 days. During this, he got into an altercation with Mavs owner Mark Cuban.
Billionaire Mark Cuban bought the Dallas Mavericks?in 2000. The same year, he signed Rodman into the team. While many thought the Rebound King would be leading the Mavs to victory, things started going south instead. During his short time with the Mavs, Rodman played 12 games and received several technical fouls, ejections, and suspensions. Moreover, Rodman went head-to-head with the franchise owner as well. Apparently, the Worm was not happy with Cuban’s involvement in the team.

The five-time NBA champion said, “He doesn’t need to be hanging around the players like he’s a coach or something. That’s like [Cowboys owner] Jerry Jones, and it’s dumb. That’s why the Cowboys went down. He needs to be the owner, step back and put people in who can get this team in the right direction.”
Evidently, before Rodman’s entry into the team, the Mavs were doing fairly well with a record of 10-3. However, after Rodman, the team had lost nine games out of 13. Ultimately, the franchise let go of Dennis the Menace, stating at the decision was made due to the poor record of the team.

The Dallas Cowboys have won five Super Bowl championships to date. However, the last time they won was over two decades ago. Till the early 1990s, the NFL team was arguably one of the top teams. About 24 division championships and 10 conference championship is quite impressive. However, the franchise began going through a rough phase in the late 90s. While they did make several appearances in the playoffs, winning another championship looked like a long shot for them.

Jerry Jones has remained the owner of the Dallas Cowboys since 1989. He also serves as the team’s president and GM. After a falling out between Jones and the team’s head coach Jimmy Johnson, many claimed that Jones’ ego was the reason for the team’s downfall.
