The Los Angeles Lakers are seemingly coming up with several strategic trade deals that can help land a significant asset for the team. NBA fans and analysts came up with multiple trade scenarios that mostly included the Lakers’ two future first-round picks to acquire a substantial player. Although, new reports of owner Jeanie Buss’ unwillingness to trade the first-round pickfirst-round dismissed that idea. However, it now seems that the Lakers might finally consider giving up their future picks for a particular player.
The Los Angeles Lakers have little to no chance of getting to the playoffs this season. This means that they will instead have to focus on strengthening their roster for the next season without jeopardizing their future drafts.

Despite earlier reports of Jeanie Buss’ apparent decision, Jovan Buha from The Athletic has revealed that the Los Angeles Lakers are willing to give up one future first-round pick for Detroit Pistons star, Bojan Bogdanovic. The Pistons are reportedly looking for an unprotected first-round pick to move forth in the trade deal. While the Lakers have agreed to give up one draft pick for Bogdanovic, it will be a lottery-protected pick to ensure they have a fair deal.

“Detroit?s Bojan Bogdanovi? continues to be the name most often tied to the Lakers in league circles, but the Pistons are looking for an unprotected first-round pick, at a minimum, in a potential trade, according to league sources. The Lakers? preference is to only give up a lottery-protected first for the 34-year-old Bogdanovi?, though that could change when up against the trade-deadline clock,” Buha wrote.
This has sparked a debate among Twitterati because many felt that Bogdanovic was not worth the first-round picks. However, others believed that Bogdanovic would be a good addition to help out LeBron James. Below are a few of the tweets.
