After 14 games in the season and the Golden State Warriors have surprisingly been mediocre so far. And that is something that is not expected from the reigning NBA champions unless the team’s roster has been split up. In fact, the Warriors got two of its players back from injury after missing a substantial amount of time. Yet, Stephen Curry and co. are now 6-9 in the season so far after their loss to the Phoenix Suns in their latest matchup.?
Now, it is a little hard to pinpoint what exactly the Warriors are doing wrong this season. They have a bunch of scoring options after Stephen Curry. The return of Klay Thompson from injury has divided the offensive load a bit between the two Splash Brothers.

What is the exact downfall for Stephen Curry and the Warriors?
But Thompson is still taking a while to fully return to his natural lethal shooting form. And rightfully so. Thompson missed a big chunk of the last two seasons due to injury and it only makes sense that it will take him some more time to get back to his best form.?
However, Zach Lowe of ESPN had an interesting take on the current situation of the Golden State Warriors. Despite having other options on offense, Lowe pointed out that apart from the starting lineup, any other lineup put on the floor by head coach Steve Kerr has underperformed.
Lowe said, ?There are a lot of games where it just feels like it?s a Steph miracle or they lose. And that?s just not sustainable, every single game cannot be a Steph miracle bailout at the end. They just need to be better.?
No matter how much of the offensive responsibilities get distributed amongst the team, it has mostly been a Stephen Curry show. At least arguably at the end of the game, during crunch time. The only player on the Warriors who can come through in the clutch besides Curry at the moment may be Klay Thompson.

The development of Jordan Poole has been an absolute blessing for the team. A player who can lead the second unit of the team is likely a coach’s dream come true. Poole does an excellent job of coming off the bench and maintaining the momentum of the game in the team’s favor.?
But Poole is perhaps the only bright light for the Warriors on the bench. James Wiseman has been sent to the G-League by the front office and the rest of the young guns have yet to make a substantial mark for the team. Until then, it seems like it will be a Curry show through and through.

However, as for Thompson, he has not been the same explosive shooter that he once was. Fans will be hoping that he returns to his original form or something close to that so the Warriors don?t have to run every play through Stephen Curry. Because teams around the league have started to notice this trend and end up double-teaming Curry in late-game situations.?
