Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green has been in the headlines ever since the Playoffs began. While the four-time NBA champion garnered attention for a violent and wrong reason in Game 2, he put up brilliant displays in the games that followed. Apart from his acts on the court, Dray has also turned the heads of the fans while speaking to the media, and through his updates on social media. Fuelling the surrounding buzz, Green has now chimed in with praises for a Sacramento Kings star who gave the Warriors a tough time in Game 5.
As the first four games seesawed between the Northern California sides, the neighbors exchanged daggers in the crucial Game 5. Though the Warriors had the last laugh, the game was no walk in the park. Draymond Green and his teammates had a tough time facing De’Aaron Fox who ran riot in spite of a finger injury.

Following the edge-gaining win against the Kings, Draymond Green lauded his teammates, especially Kevon Looney. When it came to acknowledging his opponent De’Aaron Fox’s efforts, Dray displayed the same enthusiasm he showed while praising his companions. Prior to the faceoff with the Warriors, it was announced on Monday that Fox sustained a fracture to the index finger on his left shooting hand.
De’Aaron Fox, however, came through and donned the Sacramento side’s colors for Game 5. Fuelling up his heroic act, Fox led the Kings with 24 points. As Fox has been Sacramento’s best performer in the series, averaging 31.5 points, 7.0 assists, and 6.0 rebounds in 38.5 minutes per game, he did not allow the injury to stand in his way.
On the back of his heroism, Fox has earned the stripes from Draymond Green. “What about Fox’s thumb, uh finger injury, how is that going to affect him? I am telling you that man came out guns blazing like nothing was going on,” said Green in a recent episode of his podcast.

Dray also added that he knew Fox was going to make it to the game even if he had an injured finger. “There was no way he was missing this game, any game with a finger. Never believed it, never once believed it. And, sure enough he came out guns blazing,” Green added.
