Kobe Bryant has influenced millions of lives. Be it via his social service, his books, speeches, or his gameplay. His mentality going into the game and working on and off the court was inspirational too.

Also known as ‘Black Mamba’, Kobe maintained a good balance between his professional life and personal life. Giving time to his family as much as he can, he was soft-hearted there.

On the court, he was as ruthless and competitive as one can get. That was one of his abilities, which made him a legend. Like his soft-sided part was unknown to many, he also had a light-hearted part, even during a game. LeBron James‘ former teammate, Tristan Thompson, recalls his in-game incident with the Mamba, which made him laugh.

Talking about his favorite memory of Kobe, Tristan Thompson spoke about his first encounter. Tristan was in his rookie year, playing against the Lakers at the Staples Center. He distinctly remembers his conversation with Kobe in-game. He was wearing a LeBron shoe for the game. Later in the game, Kobe walked up to him and said, “Young fella, if you had my shoes on, you would get more buckets.”

Showing his respect for the legend, Tristan said that he also got a picture with Kobe that day. He’s framed the picture and put it up in his house. Former Cleveland man also mentioned that the photo will go down in the Thompsons and it is like a treasure for them.
