Rodman said, “That f*****g f****d me up.” He was shaken because he had thought of building the team together and had seen a future together, but the sudden leaving of Daley shattered that. At the same time, Rodman was hit with other personal problems in his life. That made him feel bad and almost numb about anything.

He then got traded to the San Antonio Spurs in the 1993 season where he had no bonding with the team. However, Rodman continued playing his role and ensured he still managed to get the rebounding title once again.
