

The Chicago Bulls decimated everything in their path in the 1990s, capturing six NBA titles in eight years. While Michael Jordan was undoubtedly the driving force for them, he had the backing of the ideal sidekicks. Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman were two of those great sidekicks who assisted His Airness?to solidify the Bulls’ legacy.
While Jordan handled the scoring department, Pippen contributed a great deal with his all-around game. Meanwhile, Rodman operated as the team’s defensive cornerstone. His ability to rack up rebounds at an astounding rate, combined with his relentless intensity, was pivotal in the franchise’s ascension to the pinnacle. Together, the three went through trials and tribulations and in the end, got the sweet taste of victory.

Pippen’s post-retirement relationship with Michael Jordan came to the public light after ‘The Last Dance’ aired. However, one relationship that stayed relatively obscure was that of Pippen and Rodman. The two Bulls legends though, seem to share a wonderful friendship to this day.

Despite their opposing personalities, Pippen has remarked that he enjoys a close friendship with Rodman.?And the latter seems to share the mutual feelings, as seen by the heartfelt message he sent to Pippen during his tumultuous divorce.
During his rocky divorce, Dennis Rodman sent a poignant message to Scottie Pippen
Scottie Pippen tied the knot with Larsa Pippen in 1997. However, after nearly 20 years of marriage, the couple split in 2016. They reconciled in 2018; however, things didn’t work out and they finalized their divorce in 2021.
During the initial phases of the divorce, the Chicago Bulls great was going through a hard patch in 2016. However, Dennis Rodman let his dear friend know that he’ll always have his back.
Talking to TMZ, Rodman was asked about his views on his ex-teammate going through a divorce. However, the five-time NBA champion refused to comment on it, unwilling to put his oar in Pippen’s personal life.
When asked if he had any advice for the fellow NBA legend, he said, “Scottie is Scottie man!”. Following this, instead of offering his buddy advice, he thanked him for his contribution to his life.

“And guess what, thank you, Scottie, for doing one thing… help me to be Dennis,” Rodman stated.

Rodman’s message expressed the love and appreciation that both luminaries have for one another. It’s likely because of the numerous hours they spent in the gym and on the floor together,?ready to go to war side by side every night.

The fact that they are still close is something that NBA fans love seeing. Rodman and Pippen certainly appreciate the time they shared together as members of the Chicago Bulls, helping the team land three straight NBA championships from 1996 to 1998.
