Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson will not be playing on Monday night. According to The Athletic, Thompson will sit out of the Warriors vs San Antonio Spurs game. NBA star Klay Thompson will remain on the sidelines during the Warriors’ Monday night game. Thompson will be on rest due to his right Achilles tendon injury management. This is the third game of the season that Thompson will be missing. The Athletic’s Anthony Slater tweeted that Thompson will be resting out the game against the Spurs. This effectively opens up a spot for Jordan Poole as one of the starting players.
Klay Thompson is resting against the Spurs tonight. Still hasn’t played both sides of a back-to-back. Opens up a starting spot for Jordan Poole and perhaps some Moses Moody minutes. Steph Curry and Draymond Green will play.

The Golden State Warriors faced the Sacramento Kings on Sunday night. To fans’ disappointment, Stephen Curry’s Warriors lost to the Kings by 115-122.
Despite that, Warriors fans are glad about the new development for the game against the San Antonio Spurs.
Warriors fans don’t want Klay Thompson on the court alongside Stephen Curry
The four-time NBA champion has been involved in his fair share of controversy this season. While the Golden State Warriors were already dealing with the Draymond Green-Jordan Poole drama, Klay Thompson got involved in an altercation of his own. Just days after the Green-Poole incident began dying down, Thompson got into a verbal dispute with the Phoenix Suns‘ Devin Booker during a game. This resulted in Thompson’s ejection from the court for the first time in his career. While getting out of the court, the five-time NBA All-Star pointed at his fingers as he indicated that he had won four rings.
Following that, fans began pointing out that Thompson was not really a great player. While some said he was washed, others felt that Stephen Curry and ex-teammate Kevin Durant had carried him all along. This might be the reason fans are so relieved about Thompson’s exclusion from the game against the Spurs. Let’s take a look at some of the tweets.
