And recently, legendary tennis player John McEnroe has given his honest opinion about Serena Williams.

Tennis legend compares Williams to Michael Jordan and Tom Brady

Serena Williams is one of the most successful tennis players ever. Talking about her, tennis legend John McEnroe compared her with legends Michael Jordan and Tom Brady. He also said that she is the greatest female athlete ever.

“Serena?s the greatest female athlete, to me, in the history of sports. I don?t care who you could come up with. She?s one of the greatest athletes period ? male or female. She?s put herself along the likes of Tom Brady, Michael Jordan, whoever you wanna say ?” McEnroe said.

He added, “She?s 40 years old. She?s done everything in tennis. She?s got nothing to prove.”?

Serena Williams announced on Tuesday that she will be retiring. She wrote that she doesn’t want it to end and that she is torn to take this decision. However, she wrote that she is ready for the next chapter. She has won 39 Grand Slam titles in total: 23 in singles, 14 in women’s doubles, and two in mixed doubles. This is the second-highest in the Open Era.
