On Sunday, Novak Djokovic put on a show at Melbourne Park as he won his 10th Australian Open and 22nd Grand Slam after defeating Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas. In light of this, Doncic congratulated the 35-year-old Serbian on Instagram. The Slovenian congratulated the ‘Joker’ by mentioning him on his Instagram stories and putting three goat emojis beside his name.
Djokovic successfully secured the win in straight sets, winning 6-3, 7-6, and 7-6. With this win, the 35-year-old tied with Spaniard Rafael Nadal for the most number of men’s Grand Slam singles titles at 22.
Furthermore, he is also the only player in history to win 10 Australian Open titles.
Previous interactions between Djokovic and Doncic
The two powerhouses of their respective sports met each other following a friendly game between Serbia and Slovenia in 2022. Both Djokovic and Doncic interacted for a few seconds, and then hugged each other, ultimately parting ways.

In the friendly game, the four-time All-Star led his national team to win the game against Serbia in overtime. The game ended with a score of 97-92. The 23-year-old wrapped up the game with 34 points, 6 rebounds, and 9 assists.
