LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have had a disappointing season so far. Their offseason moves to acquire Russell Westbrook and other future Hall of Famers haven’t quite gone according to plan. They are currently in the eighth spot with a sub 0.500 record. Their season has been marred by poor play and injuries which have prevented them from reaching their full potential.
The Lakers are currently on a three-game losing streak and have been receiving flak for their effort and the lack of urgency. LeBron James recently took to Twitter to apologize for their poor play and vowed to get better.

#LakerNation I apologize and I promise we’ll be better! 👑💜💛

But even this request by the King has gone in vain as fans continued to decimate the Lakers for their poor performances. Russell Westbrook has been the main target and his teammates haven’t been spared either.
NBA Twitter reacts to LeBron James’ Tweet
Even though some fans have appreciated the King coming out and apologizing, there are many others who continued to take out their frustrations on Twitter. Here are some of the best reactions:
#lebronjames #NBAAllStar hi, tell Westbrook to get his eyes fixed. @KingJames https://t.co/SQ1dSOb9Hk

One thing that can be controlled is effort. The rest is circumstantial. Thats my only gripe. 40 games with all them new pieces shuffled in & out & AD was never healthy counts for something 2 me. I hope, unlike the last Cleveland team you took to the finals, that no trades r made.

LeBron and the Lakers will look to turn it around
The Lakers are currently in the eighth spot in the West with a record of 21-22. At times this season, they have shown glimpses of what can be with the Big Three dominating. They had their best game of the season against the Boston Celtics at the Staples Center, where The Big 3 dominated. But most of the time, they look lost and defeated.

They look out of gas and they have blown several big leads. LeBron has been absolutely balling this season but his teammates have just not shown up.
Russ has had a few games where he looks like a superstar, but he needs to do it more consistently. His finishing touch at the rim has disappeared, and he is shooting below 30% from 3 point range. Along with that, he leads the league in turnovers. The other squad members are simply not consistent enough and LeBron has to carry the load himself at age 37.

However, with Anthony Davis returning in a few weeks, the Lakers will hope they can solve their issues and find their best 5. Russell Westbrook has always balled out in the second half of seasons and will look to do the same. And of course, they still have LeBron James, who still looks like a superhuman playing in his 19th season.
