Despite being one of the weakest teams this season, the Houston Rockets have been performing surprisingly well in the past few games. After defeating stronger teams such as the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers, the Rockets secured their third straight win on Friday night at the Toyota Center. Rockets fans rejoiced as Jabari Smith Jr. led his team to victory against the Zion Williamson-less New Orleans Pelicans with his game-winning three-point shot. This prompted fans to subject Williamson to harsh criticism after they lost their second consecutive game.
It is no secret that the Houston Rockets are not really in their best shape, having lost 52 games out of the 70 played to date. Currently, at the No. 14 seed in the Western Conference rankings, the Rockets have less to no chance of making it to the 2023 playoffs.
