It’s only been four days since the world welcomed the new year and the NBA has already decided to baffle fans with some outstanding moments. This year, basketball fans saw some jaw-dropping performances by several NBA stars. Be it the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Donovan Mitchell scoring 71 points in a single game or Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James scoring 40 or more points in back-to-back games, it was indeed a ‘happy’ new year for fans. However, it seems like the NBA stars aren’t done astonishing fans. Now they have resorted to pure sorcery to entertain fans, in the most literal sense possible.

Golden State Warriors stars Draymond Green and Klay Thompson managed to stun NBA fans recently with the display of a literal magic trick on the hardwood. The Warriors’ double-overtime win over the Atlanta Hawks wasn’t the only highlight of the night that impressed Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal. The Big Diesel was confused by this play between Klay and Dray.

The Golden State Warriors are currently playing without their superstar Stephen Curry. However, this has not diminished their ability to take on their opponents. The Warriors grabbed their fifth consecutive victory over the Atlanta Hawks with a 143-141 score on Monday night. While the entire game was a treat to watch, a clip from a particular moment in the game left fans perplexed. It was the split second pass made between Draymond Green and Klay Thompson that couldn’t be traced even after slowing the footage down.

In the first quarter of the game, Warriors guard Donte DiVincenzo was in possession of the ball when Green signaled for him to pass. Thompson was behind Green while being guarded by Hawks forward De’Andre Hunter. As Thompson charged around Green, he had the ball in his hands although fans could not see the pass taking place.

While it was most probably a bounce pass that was missed due to the camera’s angle, several fans began speculating if Green had performed some kind of sorcery. Interestingly, four-time NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal too couldn’t help but share the clip in his Instagram stories. Following are a few reactions from confused fans.
