Kyrie Irving expressed his desire to find a new team for next season. But recently, he decided to opt in for a $37.1 million dollar contract extension deal with the Nets. It seemed like both KD and Kyrie would continue at the Nets. But just a day after that, Kevin Durant handed in a trade request. And once again there was an obvious uncertainty over the future of Kyrie Irving. Now once again the reports suggest that Irving might be on his way out after all.?

Now the story has spun the other way once again. The Nets reportedly have no interest in extending Irving’s contract, according to ESPN?s Brian Windhorst. As it stands Kyrie Irving is on his way out. Reports suggest that the money might be used to help try and keep?Kevin Durant.?

Where do the Nets stand on the whole Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant situation?
The Nets were prepared to let go of both their superstars. But they must have had plans when Kyrie?s decision to renew went public. Soon after, the whole fiasco took a u-turn once again. And now the Nets have probably had enough. Fans certainly have it seems.?
I think teams are done letting him get his way. He’s in for a rude awakening if he thinks he’s just gonna sit out and walk into a max deal next summer.

Didn't Nets Owner Joe Tsai recently say that he prefers guys that want to be in Brooklyn?!
If that's the case, why not accommodate Kyrie and move on with ya damn life????

They mean they’re not going to meet his list of demands. Whatever deal they make will be in their best interest and not his.

No team@going to trade for him knowing next year he free agent and going to LA! He can sit out while season with injury he still getting his 36 and nets will still lose

Windhorst doesn’t even have sources or anything. He just says random shit and sees if it ends up being true

No one’s trading major assets for a one year rental where he’ll just end up in LA the following year, Nets have no leverage

It means they don’t care where he wants to go.. they’re gonna send him wherever they can get the best pieces back..

For Kyrie and even for KD, there are not many teams who can afford them. The teams that might be able to may not be the preferred destination for either of them. So the question remains where should the duo go. More importantly, where do the Nets go from here? If both Kyrie and KD leave, they are obviously looking at a full rebuild of their squad. So they might not chase after either of the two stars to convince them to stay.?

The rumors suggest a Kyrie Irving – LeBron James reunion at the Los Angeles Lakers. But those are purely rumors at the moment. In fact, that just might be something that fans want. On the other hand, the possibility of KD joining any possible suitor seems unsure. Because there are probably no teams who can raise their hand and KD would grab it with a blink of an eye.
Each team would need immense planning to orchestrate either of the two into their squads. There is a possibility that the Nets manage to keep KD after letting go of Irving. They can use that money as a salary ballast for KD, but that is also uncertain at the moment.?
