The Los Angeles Lakers fans were discouraged by their disappointing 2021-22 NBA season. The fact that they didn’t even qualify for the playoffs raised many questions regarding their performance. Especially for Russell Westbrook, who was drafted this season by the Lakers and was expected to fulfill many expectations.
Nevertheless, fans weren’t able to see their star player perform to the level they expected. After being at the top of the leader board at the beginning, the Lakers ended up with a poor record at the end of last season.

Teams are currently busy preparing their rosters during the offseason, and many changes can be seen already throughout the league.
Russell Westbrook’s work in training himself and being confident is inspiring to watch, but it appears that not every fan is happy with this. Recently, fans were left confused as Westbrook took up a coaching job with the Lakers, according to Twitter. There were many comments following this, mostly trolling Westbrook because of his poor performance last season.
Fans’ disappointment with Russell Westbrook’s performance
As the NBA Summer League is underway, fans can see young players in action for their teams as they try to make the cut for the NBA. There were also a few legends in attendance. For the Lakers, even LeBron James was in attendance.
However, the Los Angeles Lakers lost their game against the Phoenix Suns at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. There were a few players who showed great performances during the game, including Scotty Pippen Jr., who scored 19 points with four rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
Paris Bass also stood out with a 14-point and two-rebound performance. Aside from 11 points, Cole Swider also contributed four boards, one assist, and many other contributions. It was a good win for the Suns against the Lakers as they won 104-84.
