All three, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Marcus Smart scored more than 20 points each. However, game 3 was a different story.

Jimmy Butler sustained an injury during game 3 and could only play for 20 minutes. However, this did not stop the Heat from commanding their way through to a victory. Bam Adebayo was on the money in the absence of Jimmy Butler. On the other hand, Jaylen Brown dropped a masterclass performance to give the Celtics the much-needed push. Jayson Tatum scored mere 10 points to contribute to the team in the 41 minutes he played in game 3. He gave 4 assists along with 6 rebounds but it was way too far from his best. To his defense, Tatum was apparently injured during the game and had to sit out for a few minutes in the second half, and fourth quarter with a scare to his shoulder. But even before that, it was a poor first-half display from him and the Celtics.
