Following the incident, Morant was suspended for at least two games by the Grizzlies. Reportedly, the Grizzlies star displayed a gun at a nightclub during his Instagram live. In a recent podcast episode of Gil’s Arena titled Don’t Mess with Ja, Gilbert Arenas surprised the NBA world with his stance on the gun controversy. When the host asked Arenas to pose as Morant’s owner and react to the issue, the former NBA star pretended as if he ignored whatever happened in front of him. Along with his antics, he also said, “I’m the owner… I’m gonna do what every owner does — pretend I don’t see it.”

The particular insensitive statement surfaced on Twitter and triggered fans with harsh opinions in the comments section.
