The Los Angeles Lakers got a big overtime win against the San Antonio Spurs in their first away game. In the absence of LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Westbrook combined and showed out as a duo.
Going into the half, the Spurs kept just a one-point lead to themselves. While this continued for the most part of the third, San Antonio switched gears in the final minute. They went on a big run led by Walker IV and took a 12 point lead to end the third quarter. With everything looking lost, the Lakers came in strong in the fourth quarter. After that, it became a possession game.
However, a major concern came when Anthony Davis landed awkwardly and looked like he injured his knee. Fans had to get themselves in as AD sparked more injury concerns.

Anthony Davis continues to give injury scares
While the Spurs were doing their all to tie the game, Davis went up for the rebound in hopes to retain possession. However, as soon as he went off the ground, it was clear something was wrong. AD went straight to the floor and held his knee. While he did get back up, his injury concerns keep coming up with such moments.
Oh no. The Spurs tie the game and AD is down holding his knee. This does not look good.

Davis came up big for the Lakers having himself a big night. He put up 33 points, 17 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Russell Westbrook had arguably his best game as a Laker, putting up 33 points, 8 assists, and 3 steals. However, he couldn’t play the second half of the final quarter due to foul trouble. Monk’s dagger three looked to seal the deal until the Spurs got an offensive board to tie the game.
For the Spurs, center Poeltl put up a career-high with 27 points to his name. Dejounte Murray went off with a triple-double with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 15 assists. Walker IV caught fire in the third and ended the game with 21 points off the bench. However, missed free throws in the fourth quarter affected them big time in the end.
