Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade and his wife, Gabrielle Union, have been making waves in the entertainment world as a power couple. They have voiced out their opinions on many social issues on big platforms over the years. Union, who has opened up on the difficulty she has faced in the industry before, took the internet by storm with her recent claim about Hollywood. The claim comes in years after her controversial exit from a popular reality show.

Gabrielle Union began her career in modeling during her college days at UCLA for extra academic credits. Eventually, she started taking up minor roles in films. Following her breakout performance in Bring It On, she played the leading lady in several films and TV shows opposite big stars like Jamie Foxx and Will Smith. However, she isn’t the biggest fan of the industry.

Gabrielle Union’s bold stance

The 50-year-old has been a part of Hollywood for over two decades. One would assume that since she has been in the industry for so long, she must enjoy it. But that isn’t the case. She has slammed Disney for a slow response to a Florida bill and even called out Terry Crews for lack of support. Union recently took a dig at the industry with her bold claim in an interview promo.

She said, “There is so much about Hollywood that is b**ls**t… Swimming in the b**ls**t and you wonder why you can’t sleep at night because you’re s****y.” The star stressed on what she has for herself in the future with the industry. She added, “I choose to center my peace and my self worth, now I am gonna create things and do things my way.”

In response to the promo video on Instagram, fans flooded the comments section with encouragement. Moreover, the Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul commented, “Love this. And love you.”

Notably, the promo came in years after her controversial exit from the popular TV reality show, America’s Got Talent (AGT).

Union opened up on her exit from AGT

Union was featured in AGT as one of the judges until she decided to quit the show in 2019 over a controversial joke. However, in 2020, the star opened up about what she called a “toxic work environment” in an interview with Vanity Fair. She accused Jay Leno of making a racist joke during one of the episodes in 2019. Even though the showrunners edited out the joke from the show, it was impactful enough for Union to quit the show.
