The Golden State Warriors are looking at a difficult but optimistic season ahead. Well, with Klay Thompson coming back to play alongside Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, Dubs fans are hoping to bring back their firepower from the good old days. However, this trio is pure speculation until Klay can actually make his return, and even if he does, he has to return to his old dominant self.

So, to be on the safer side, the Warriors should work on a backup plan. The offseason is a crucial period before the season that can make or break a franchise’s chances of winning the NBA title. And if teams don’t utilize this period to their advantage, it would be a shame. Unfortunately, the Golden State Warriors seem lost and aren’t doing much about it.

Training camp is days away and fans are still looking forward to seeing some big moves that can help them get out of the losing slump. But all we have is pin-drop silence for now. Even the trade for Ben Simmons doesn’t seem like an option right now. Is this a decision that only the front office is making by themselves? Or like some other superstars, Stephen Curry tries to be involved in the process? Let’s hear it from the man himself.

Does Stephen Curry have a say in offseason moves?

On ‘A Brother From Another’, Steph was asked whether he likes to be vocal and pitches in when it comes to offseason decisions. “Yeah, I participate heavy,” he started off. “I am not in the war room or every meeting. But I feel like they trust my voice and that feeling is mutual. Me and Bob talked a lot in free agency and pre-draft, just trying to give my input on what the best decisions are.”

As the conversation went on, the inevitable question about Simmons popped up as well. Steph was asked whether he and Bob even discussed the possibility of adding Ben Simmons to the roster. Steph gave a subtle response by saying, “Let’s just say, if you’re not having those conversations, then you’re not trying.”

Simmons and the Warriors can’t seem to keep their names out of trade rumor headlines. With Ben set on wanting to leave the Philadelphia 76ers, the Bay definitely seems like an ideal spot. Who wouldn’t want to team up with the Splash Brothers, but Ben’s biggest obstacle will be Draymond Green, as the Warriors won’t be too keen on adding him as long as Green is on the squad. How do you think the next season will turn out for the Dubs?
