Chris Herren might not be a household name for NBA fans. But the 6’2” guard, picked 33rd in the 1999 draft, was one of many to suffer from drug addiction. He described it as “rock bottom.” His career as a hooper was stinted by drugs. And unfortunately, this is not an uncommon occurrence in NBA history. Former Lakers star Lamar Odom also suffered from drug abuse post-retirement.

After a near-fatal overdose in 2015, Odom has been on a path to recovery ever since. Opening his own rehabilitation center, the ‘Odom Recovery Group’ Lamar has been on a quest for change. That includes helping one of his longtime friends who recently ditched critical care.

Earlier last month, Bam was once again trying his hand at recovery, detoxing in San Diego alongside friend Lamar Odom. But in a recent turn of events Lamar has made a public outcry, calling for his friend stating he is “Super Worried.

Bam left the rehab without notice and was reportedly on his way to sin city. Given Margera’s history, it makes sense that the two-time champ was worried about his friend.

Bam previously escaped rehabilitation twice in June of 2022 and his newest getaway has simply been a repeat of his past actions.
