The world wanted to see Michael Jordan play live. Very few got the privilege of seeing Jordan do his thing on the court in person as the majority of the viewers only got to see his high-flying antics on television. But Magic Johnson once did let his wife have the privilege of seeing Jordan in person.

Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan went head-to-head numerous times. But no matchup was bigger than their meeting in the 1991 NBA finals. The Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls met each other in the 1991 finals to win the NBA championship.
Cookie attended the only team win in that series
Johnson was already a veteran in making appearances in the NBA finals. But this was Jordan?s first finals run. And he surely did not disappoint. Well, he may have not won the first game of the matchup but that was about it.
Apparently, Magic Johnson?s wife Cookie never got to see her husband play in a championship game. So, when she finally got the chance, it was against Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.
On Magi Johnson?s TV show, ?They Call Me Magic,? Cookie mentioned her first finals experience in the third episode. She said, ?In all of the other championships that he played in, I was never there.?
?So finally when they were in the championship against Chicago, he allowed me to go. I was super excited about the playoffs. This was Michael Jordan,? added Cookie. And the first game was the only one that Cookie was allowed to attend.

Michael Jordan did not let up after that loss
And even though Michael Jordan had a great 38-point, 12 assists performance, Magic Johnson and the Los Angeles Lakers were just too much for the Chicago Bulls as they defeated the Bulls, 93-91.
Johnson had a triple-double for the game with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists. Johnson made sure to put on a show for his wife in attendance. But that was all the Lakers were going to get out of that series.

Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls went on to win the next four games, defeating the Lakers 4-1 and winning their first NBA championship. While playing 44 minutes on average in that series, Jordan averaged 31.2 PPG, 11.4 APG, and 6.6 RPG.
