Supermodel Winnie Harlow and Washington Wizards star Kyle Kuzma started dating in 2020. At the beginning of the pandemic, Kuzma shot his shot by DMing the Canadian supermodel on Instagram and soon enough the two got together. 27-year-old Kuzma is one of the most talented youngsters in the league today. On the other hand, Harlow is a celebrated supermodel who got her first big break from the American reality TV show, America’s Next Top Model.

She was diagnosed with vitiligo, a chronic skin condition when she was four years old. Over 70 million people worldwide suffer from this condition which often has a deep impact on them. Harlow is widely credited for breaking the mould of orthodox beauty standards. The revered model recently talked about challenging the norms in the fashion world and the general shift in the definition of beauty in recent times.

Harlow has modeled for Victoria’s Secret and London Fashion Week as well. Apart from that, she has done advertisement campaigns for popular brands like Diesel, Steve Madden, Nike, Puma, and Fendi, to name a few. Needless to say, the Ontario native has made her mark in the fashion world, that too while challenging the beauty norms. However, her journey to the pinnacle of the fashion industry wasn’t easy.

During a recent conversation with model and actress Emily Ratajkowski, Harlow talked about her beginnings in the fashion world. She said that when she was entering the industry, there wasn’t any blueprint for people like her. Although she agreed that the movement challenging beauty norms was active at that point, the world was still looking at beauty a certain way. She said that “I feel like, people try to say that we made our own moulds, but I feel like we just broke moulds.” The two models also said that social media has played a big role in the growing acceptance of the different “versions of beautiful”.

Kuzma actually sent a DM to Harlow in 2019 which went unnoticed. She addressed it during her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Although she said that it was due to some “glitch in the system”, the young baller reached out to her once again in March 2020.

This time she did reply and the two have been in a relationship since April 2020, quarantining together and celebrating each others’ success.
