During the final seconds of the fourth quarter, in the game between the Warriors and the Timberwolves, Donte DiVincenzo made a three-point shot. Subsequently, the camera panned towards Steph who was wildly celebrating as a result. He jumped out of his seat and with a towel in his hands started pumping his fist in the air. However, the celebration didn’t last long as the referees called a technical foul on the Dubs superstar. Therefore, Steph threw his towel and sat next to another victim of the rule, Draymond Green.
Just a minute before Steph got the technical, Draymond Green was celebrating a Jordan Poole bucket. But he earned himself a technical foul in similar fashion. His reaction to getting a foul was hilarious. However, the reaction of the fans on the internet was different. As one of the fans proclaimed, “Stupidest NBA rule ever.”
The tendency of NBA referees to award technical fouls at seemingly harmless acts like celebrating a bucket have bugged fans for a long time. However, instead of improving for the better, the rule has pretty much become a staple in the league. And fans seemed indignant with its rampant misuse. Here are some of the reactions from NBA fans on social media.

What’s more, Draymond Green was also? impressive tonight as he was rock-solid with his defense and scored 19 points. This was the kind of performance that Green was missing earlier this season. The fans will be hoping for him to continue this run. On the other hand, the young department of the team played exceptionally well as Jordan Poole scored 24 points.
