Despite all the turmoil going on in the Brooklyn Nets camp, they still seem to have held tight to their two stars. While Kevin Durant may have put in a trade request, no moves have been made yet. And despite the Los Angeles Lakers interest in reuniting Kyrie Irving and LeBron James, nothing seems to have progressed so far. However, an NBA insider seems to have given a massive update on the situation with Irving and the Lakers.
The Lakers have made it clear that they are interested in the services of Irving, but the Nets are not letting him go for cheap. Even though they have him under contract for just a year, they value him as a key piece. Despite all the chaos and uncertainty that he brought, the Nets hold high value for Kyrie.
And despite rumors that Irving wants to leave the Nets, he has made it clear that he still sees himself at the Nets. In fact, he wants to build a championship culture there with Durant.

The only way this could be a possibility is if the Nets get a trade request from Kyrie or they decide he is a luxury not worth keeping.
