Steve Kerr made a confident GOAT claim about Michael Jordan
In the late 1990s, Kerr partnered with Michael Jordan in what was a legendary Chicago Bulls squad. While he went on to win 5 titles, the 14-time All-Star won 6. Yet, the 56-year-old has always been in admiration of ‘His Airness’. Making the front line their own, both of them scripted history, before parting ways. But as The Athletic revealed, Kerr’s view on the GOAT debate was never in question. And that’s saying a lot, considering he bore witness to Steph’s unthinkable rise in the NBA.

There is no doubt that in terms of quality, MJ was right up there with the best. But to so many, including Kerr, his overall impact on the game made him the force of nature that he is. “I mean, he is the greatest player of all time, so there’s a reason that most people agree on that,” Kerr said. “It goes beyond the shot-making, it’s the totality of everything. He just had this incredible package of skill and knowledge and experience and it all added up to this aura he was just better than everyone by far.”
