The Golden State Warriors have a unique situation on their hands. After starting the year off hot, they went through a slump in January and February, with Draymond Green being injured. Then after Green came back, Stephen Curry got hurt, and this has hampered their playoff preparation.
With Curry being out, Steve Kerr has a decision to make. Either play Looney and Green at the same time or sacrifice them for more shooting. Without Curry, having Green and Looney in the lineup just doesn’t work as they do not offer any spacing. This makes things difficult for others as well. So Kerr has had to field a lot of lineups as they manage the season without Curry.

Steve Kerr admits Warriors problems without Stephen Curry
Kerr has had a hard time without Curry. And with Green being on minute’s restrictions and Klay not having the greatest of seasons, he has had to rely on his squad to make for it. But this has also given him an opportunity to experiment with different lineups.
He says, ?We?re going to have a ton of flexibility these last eight games. Without Steph, it changes everything for us with the domino effect of different rotations? With this team, roles are less clearly defined than any team I?ve ever had here.?

This year’s Warriors squad is very different from the previous ones. They do not have overwhelming star power anymore, but their depth has been really good. With Curry, Klay, and Green, they do have enough star talent to rival any team. But it’s the play of rest that has been impressive.
Jordan Poole is having a hell of a season and he was one of the best players in February. He has proven himself to be a starter on an NBA team. Jonathan Kuminga is the find of the season and he has cemented his place in the Warriors lineup. The others have also stepped in big time, and this will be a huge boost of confidence for Kerr.
