Seth Curry is the younger brother of Stephen Curry. The Curry family has strong ties with the NBA, with three of its members having played/playing in the league; basketball runs strong in their bloodline. Dell Curry played in the 80s and 90s and was a skilled shooter. Stephen Curry has had immense success in the league, winning multiple championships. But his younger brother Seth faced many challenges before landing with a team and starting his NBA career.
Dell Curry was a pure marksman, his shooting abilities were way ahead of his time, and he was a very efficient shooter. The eldest son of the family, Stephen Curry, was born with his father’s genes and god-given talent that made him a sought-after prospect. Steph, the nimble 6’2” point guard with deadly shooting abilities combined with his incredible off-the-ball movement, secured his position in the draft. He was drafted in 2009 by the Golden State Warriors and has been a Warrior ever since. Steph has had an incredible career, winning 4x NBA championships. But his younger brother, Seth, couldn’t find similar success and struggled before making it to the NBA. Seth Curry is two and a half years younger than Stephen Curry. Like his brother, Seth was an exceptional talent and an elite shooter at a young age. Both of them played against each other their whole lives. Their father, Dell Curry, was instrumental in shaping the games of the two brothers. As Steph’s younger brother and son of Dell, Seth was expected to make it to the NBA and perform at an elite level.
Seth had all the ingredients to become like his father and brother. Seth dominated his high school, breaking every statistical record, including his brother’s. He continued his exceptional performance in college as well. The future was looking bright for the young guard, but in the following years, he suffered many injuries which affected his performance drastically. Due to this, his draft stock was in continuous decline. Seth went undrafted in the 2013 NBA draft and had to settle for the D-League. He went on to dominate in the D-League but wouldn’t get any significant offers from NBA teams.
Seth once remarked that being a Curry didn’t mean he would get calls from teams, and his road to the NBA will be easier. He further elaborated that it is actually the opposite. “I’ve heard people say I’m a Curry, and that helped me get where I am, sometimes, I think it’s the opposite.”?Seth played in the D-League for over two years.?

Seth was playing for the Santa Cruz Warriors in the D-league. During his tenure in the D-league, he got many calls from NBA teams, but most of them signed him for only 10-day contracts or waived him immediately. The first such team was the Memphis Grizzles, who signed him on a 10-day contract, but waived him on the day of his debut. He also got similar offers from Cleveland and Phoenix.
But in 2015, he got his first real shot at making an NBA team when the Sacramento Kings signed him. After proving his worth as a solid backup, Curry climbed the team ranks and increased his value.

Curry now plays for the Brooklyn Nets alongside Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. He has become a vital piece in the Nets’ offense, owning to his shooting ability. And all we can say is that it is a true testament to his hard work.
